Not been on here for some time (have instead been riding through Europe, Turkey, Iran and into the Gulf on my VFR -see
www.prexpressions.com/rtw if you are bored). Anyway on my trip I never rode in the dark but back in the UK for a short while I stayed late on night at work. Riding back to Ducklington, Oxon on my lovely Thruxton I say two eyes and ears in the hedge ahead of me and next second they are in the road and bang I've hit them and go down.
Well amzingly I got away with a bruised shoulder only and the Thruxton has a few scrapes and even the deer ran off - not bad for 40mph.
Question: The black plastic union that connects the front master cylinder to the brake fluid resevoir got destroyed. It is £93+vat for a new front maaster cylinder (which includes the union). It is £9+vat for the rear union.
Does any one know if they are interchangable? Or does any one have a busted master cylinder from which I could salavage the union. Happy to pay a few bob
