Lsl Cek

Installed the LSK CEK on my Thruxton last nite, love the overall look and feel of them, haven't been out for a ride yet but they definitely feel wider and a much more relaxed riding position. Had to re-route some cables, couldn't get the clutch cable to reach so had to re-route outside the headlight bracket even after removing the clips that attach it to the frame. Had to bleed the front brakes as a new longer brake cable has to be fitted.
I'm looking forward to my first ride with these new bars.

I'm thinking of going to 7/8 bars also but haven't pulled the trigger. I would love a riding impression after you ride it. I'm most concerned with the rear-sets after raising the bars. I'm wondering if the foot position will feel too far back.
How about some pics?

itcha, gracey,

Did the LSL CEK a few years ago and kept the Thurx rearsets... after the clip ons it felt like I was riding with ape hangers, but has a more comfortable upright position. The rearsets still seem fine and I have a 34 inseam. The only thing I might change is the bar, I think it is a little too high so may change out to some thing a little lower like NH Mbars or NB low cafe bars...

Here's pic (replaced the tupperware brake res too)

I went for a quick ride yesterday an initial impressions were really good. I really love the new riding position and it felt very comfie with the rearsets. Now the big test was taking the misses along as well. With the clipons, because I was leaning so far forward she used to slide forward alot and was very uncomfortable. She was very happy with the new bars and new riding position. It's essentially turning a thruxton into a Bonnie.

I will eventually swap the rearsets out for some midsets, just need to find a Bonnie owner who wants to swap. I feel like I am posting in the wrong section now, LOL!!!!!

those bars won't work with your bike, they're 1" bars and you need 7/8" bars.

I may be leaning towards this setup. Not as low as clip-ons and not as much reach, still low enough for the rearsets to make sense.
I never thought I would be ditching the clip-ons.
We'll see

Bikemaster makes 7/8 versions of both of those bars.
www.motosport.com isn't ebay and has the best prices on em too (at least of the sites I looked at with my level of patience.)
