Noticable change?

Has any one simultaneously adjusted the valves and balanced the carbs after @7k miles? If so, was there a noticable change in throttle response? Less popping?
Note: AI was removed 5k ago, still lots of popping.

Valves shouldn't need doing at 7K. It might be worth having your carbs balanced but with the modern linkages on the Keihins they rarely go out of whack. If your idle is nice and steady and the bike revs cleanly your carbs should be spot on. As for the popping, if you've fitted AI, check the join between your headers and silencers. If there's any 'blow back' visible remove your silencers and seal them with a smear of non-hardening exhaust paste.
