Not a member of the 15 but I have been hanging out with them for about 9-10 years off and on. I’m currently a non-practicing member of the D.R.B. (Dirtyrottenbastards) sportbike club and have had numerous “Rider Appreciation” tickets from the days I was a practicing member. I got tired of trying to convince local and state law enforcement that riding on one wheel is “careful” not “careless” My 3 year old cooled by jets down when she was born. Although I tried to get one on the spring opener, it has been over 3 years since my last moving violation. I will get in contact with you for the Oregon Vintage MC Show. But I may not be riding my Thruxton. Here’s a picture of my other current project.

For historical reasons I took pictures of it covered in what my buddy Jonah refers to as “E-Bay Gold.” It’s a 72 Suzuki GT750J Water Buffalo and it appears to have come with a factory-touring package. Man, I love the custom mounted air horns!

The plan for the front fender is to use a fender I have off a Harley Davidson V-Rod. I know it sounds wrong but I think it looks perfect sitting on the 120 tire. I was planning on making a couple of extra brackets. So if you’re still interested let me know.

Not a bad idea man! It looks similar to ours, but wider. Sure, I'm game. Riding in the rain really sucks without the front fender, it fills my sunglasses up with water

Greg

Wait, actually I'm using the f3 lowers also, dual disk, so scratch that.

Actually I still have the F3 donor carcass sitting in my shop and the Honda triple tree and the triumph triple tree appear to be the same width. I’ll take a look a closer look at it and see if I can come up with something for you. If I get some down time I just might be able to help you out.

Hey dirtynick,

I noticed you're running excel rims on your thruxton. What is the width of the rims? Did you have to offset the rear rim?

Gary

The front is width is 3.5. The rear width is 5.5. I had to offset the rim to the left to get the tire to clear the drive chain.

What tire sizes are you running? Do you think a 5" rim with a 170 would need to be offset?
