Got Busted!!

Darn! I have been riding my Thruxton about 90% of the time. I have it apart because I am doing the f3 fork conversion. The really nice weather is here so I decided to take my Ducati out today.
When I am on my Truimph I ride within it's limits and have a GREAT time. Today I broke one of my own rules. Don't ride with people I don't know. I caught up to a pack of riders on GSXRs. When they saw me reeling them in ,they sped up. I wasn't going to let these young kids show me up so the game was on. We were on a straight doing about 130 plus(that is all the cop said) when the lights went on from a hidden dirt road.
The cop was all things considered, very cool. He only gave up tickets for 70 MPH. Nobody ran and nobody talked back to the cop.
When the other guys left after we got our tickets I was talking with the cop. At one point he says to me,"You are old enought to know better". I said yea I should but obviously don't.
This is the first ticket my Thruxton ever cost me.

Note to self:Get the Thruxton back together this week.

Anytime i get stopped I get the nod from the Trooper : " Nice bike . Just slow it down. " It's my buddy on the yellow 996 that gets slammed .
Frankly I think they look at the Thruxies and Bonnies and say to themselves : " There's no way that bike was doing 110 uphill. I must have clocked the Ducati ."

I am not sure what my chances will be. I am planning on going to the judge. Not to plea innocence, but rather ask for mercy based on stupidty. I got two tickets last year in February. I went to school for one and paid the other. I would love it if the judge let me go to school again. I know it is supposed to be 18 months between traffic school.

You do that here and it'll piss off the court clerk, who tells the prosecutor, who tells the judge during your trial.

MAR - contact the Prosecutor. He's the one that makes the recommendation to the Judge. I'd also suggest you find and attend that traffic school BEFORE your court date and bring that certificate of attendance to the court. Makes ya look pro-active to being a better driver.

just a suggestion ...
