Thruxton bar removal....

Is the easiest way to remove the clip on bars to drop the forks a bit in the clamps and just slide them out? Seems that way, but let me know either way...... looks like i need to remove a bit of material to get my new throttle working!

The easiest way is to use an pneumatic grinding tool to cut a chunk out of both forks, simply slip out the clipons, then weld the forks back together. If you want to do it the hard way by slipping the forks down, well, that's up to you.

If you choose the latter option, you'll probably have to take off the brake caliper, the wheel, and maybe even the fender. I tried to lower both of my forks together and was, for some reason, completely unable to. (Or maybe I was able to lower them as a unit but then couldn't raise them again?)
