Removing "offroad" Baffels and Fender eliminator questions...
1. Hello to everyone from a new member.
2. Has anyone removed baffels from Triumph "Offroad" pipes?
3. Has anyone made their own fender eliminator kit?
I made my own fender elimination kit - or rather reduction kit as the fender is still there just not much of it. I fabbed the taillight license bracket from 1/8 alloy sheet. Tail light from local bike shop.
shot of the finished set-up - long bolts hold the tail light mount from under the fender.
If you are looking into doing your own fender mod, I say go for it. It's allot cheaper and not that hard. I did my own rear fender eliminator by chopping down the original fender and disassembling the stock tail light.

everyone's done a bang-up job with their FEKs! What kinda tools did y'all use to fab up the brackets for the lights? Can one get away with just a dremel? Would this work for the fender too? i saw this but he made it look too easy!

So we should think ahead as far as the rear brake light, then rear turn signals, right? I'm assuming wiring is plug-n-play? Sure beats > $220+ on a FEK, but I guess if you truly want pnp, then you gotta be prepared to pay for it.

Looking at the FEK here . it is almost worth the $205 to still have the old stock fender in original condition, if for nothing else to put on eBay for the guy that cut too much off his trying to do his own... *shrug*
I'm all for doing things myself, but I like having a fall back plan as well if I get overzealous with the grinder.
