I am in the middle of doing my AI elimination and I have a couple of easy questions.

1st, what are all of these little rubber air block off plugs for? I understand that the big one is to fill the gap in the airbox. But after removing all of the other AI stuff I don't see the need for these (4) block off plugs? This one is purchased from British customs (I wanted the low profile black bolts).

2nd, what is the easiest way to loosen the original AI bolts short of poping the crimped band and using a deep socket....is that the answer? I was trying to keep it all intact and take off as one unit.

Got ahold of the "bolt" real good with some duck bill plier and carefully cranked it to loosen it up. Then was able to manipulate it with an open end wrench and some strategically placed towels to protect pretty parts.
