What jets did you go with? D&D says jets won't change whether baffled or not. Are you running through the airbox or have you cut it?
I've got 155 mains,45 pilots, one shim, drilled slide, 1 3/4 on idle mixture, K&N's and a big wide open space where the box use to be

Now if I could only find a dyno before next steps

Crap freakin crap. You guys get me all worked up, and I can't find them in stock! My dealer ordered from D&D last Saturday, and they still can't tell my dealer today if they have been shipped. Grrrr

Brent returned my email immediately and said hopefully next week. I suppose I could run without silencers for a few days ...... Man this is frustrating. Why did I have to see this thread?

I think he is talking about the ones I always use a deepwell 12pt socket on.

D&D responded. They are back ordered on end caps, and expect to be shipping on Monday. The ETA is the same as Brent said. I was worried about a major delay, I'll stop whining now.

uups, showed my Finnish heritage, Yes I was referring to the lower nut where the pipe attaches to the head
I've looked for a better socket, as the standard bottoms out and the "pipe" ones are too long. Better find a good tool since I'll be taking the pipes off for just about anything. They DO sound evil though.......

Finn,I ,[like Bottlefed] use a deepwell 12mm socket.Mine is a 1/4" drive, nice, small and less prone to over tightening.I also chucked the factory jam nuts and just use 12mm nuts and lock washers.I`ve put them on and off at least 100 times and never a problem.

Rod,
changing the nuts is a brilliant idea, why is it always the simplest darn ideas that make the most sense....

I guess being simple minded has its advantages.

I wrote D&D about the backorder:

"We are expecting to receive that back from the powder coaters this week probably mid to end of this week. We have some at the powder coaters and are expecting them back pretty quickly."

Oh well, I've lost a lot of weight riding the bicycle to work. Another week shouldn't hurt too much more.
