ok going to go the hacksaw route in the next day or so... as for paring. I have a private secure underground space a bout a a mile and a half away but my 675 live there. the thruxton was supposed to be my 2nd bike that I just run everyday. Nut I guess I've fallen just as in love with the thrux as my 675 so its getting all the mods too! ergh, bikes! have to run 2 pride and joys is just too much

no hacksaw needed

You might try using the search function, this issue has been discussed quite a bit. When I had clipon's on the Thrux I didn't even bother with hacking the mirrors... just got a little longer bolt from the hardware store and tightened it down down. I had to trim the rubber stopper that comes with the mirrors a bit but it worked.

The Triumph bar ends are napoleons with a star washer (serrated edges) and they work fine too... a bit pricier though...

job done hacked it all off. had to add 2 washers to the right side to allow freeplay for the throttle. also I cut little rubber gaskets to allow some vibration reduction and also to help keep it tight. looks great I'm taking it down to Dorset about a 260 mile round trip to see the folks and to use their garage and get it all buffed up
