Link for the homemade bar end mirrors from stock mirrors?

I have searched and searched yet i came up with nothing. Acutally, found some items BUT I was hoping to find the thread that had pictures that showed the stock thruxton mirrors turned into bar end mirrors. Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks,
Chans

Thanks for the tip. I will try to find the link. In the meantime, I went ahead and purchased some flat stock and bolts. Going to try and fab up something on my on..........we shall see how it turns out!

In the absence of photos:

Take your stock end cap and trace it onto your alum / steel stock including the center hole.
Find the center and trace horizontal and vertical line.
Extend the vertical line a few inches above the top of the circle.
Decide how long you want your brackets to be (I went about 2 inches)
At the top mark, draw a circle of the same diameter as your mirror thread ends. Find the center point of this small circle.
Join the big circle and the small.
Cut out, drill holes, and trace to another piece of stock.

Shape / file / grind as necessary. I bolted the two pieces together and filed at the same time to keep them symmetrical.

Cheers,

Thanks for the thread. I did however TRY to cut out the steel flat stock......but, I found it to be a bit tough without the grinder etc. Soo, this project is going to be taking place tomorrow. I needed a Boddingtons break (good beer) and that was the end of the fab work!

Ok, so I finished up the mirrors. They look pretty good I must say!

Anyway, basically cost me 13 bucks (flat stock, nuts, washers, correct drill bit size). These are actually on my wifes Bonnie and when I was done, she gave me the thumbs up! (this was a good thumbs up........geeze!)

Here are some pictures of the done product.

Cheers,
Chans

They work really good! And the cost, geeze, its worth it just for everyone to try it. If they dont like the look, it cheap to put back to stock.

Cheers,
Chans
