Triumph Thruxton Special

How about this one off from Triumph for the upcoming NEC show in England?
here is the transcript from the link:
TRIUMPH HAVE built a one-off Thruxton special, which is to appear at the NEC Show.

Sources say the bike's been built to gauge public reaction and could go into production if there's enough interest.

Look out for it on Triumph's stand at the NEC Show.

Is that an S3 front end? Kinda looks like some of the project bikes around here.

Don't regret your outstanding job Jeff!
The problem is for us it cost an arm and a leg to do something like that, for them is a piece of cake due to a massive amount of bikes they make.
I bet that is an S3 front fork, Brembo calipers and rotors, the rear shocks looks like Ohlins, the 2 into 1 is their own Arrow alliance, etc, etc.
3.5 front rim, 4.25 rear?
I wonder if they increase the motor displacement to 1000.
They been talking to Matt for a long time about that.

Here's a gauge - make that frontend a true bolt on to an 04 Thrux and have the parts in stock.

Triumph Needs To Offer An "s" Model

For every bike Triumph makes they should also offer an "S" model. Ducati does this, Porsche does this, maybe even H-D does the same with their "screaming eagles."

There should be a Bonneville and a Bonneville S. The "S" models would have better suspension, sportier carbs (or chipped FI) and a few styling cues.

They'd make a $1000-$3000 more per bike and we'd probably save money, but sacrifice the "joy of accomplishment" and having a bin of OEM parts!

um, yes I like it. I might even be willing to part with my 05 and a couple dollars, given 1000cc and that suspension. I just hope they offer it in yellow So how will they gauge public opinion? Where do I sign?
