Reversing stock clipons

I want to reverse the stock clipons and have them sitting on top of the triple clamp for a more comfortable postion. Just wondering how do I adjust the forks. I have never adjusted them before so not sure how to do it.

do a search - or just scroll down about 7 or 8 threads to the "flip and swap" one. It was just discussed.

Yeah thanks, saw that one. I was more wanting to know more about how to adjust the forks. It makes mention of that but doesn't explain how to do it.

Cheers

Just to add to that, is there anyway you can adjust the forks without having to remove the front wheel etc. I don't have a bike lift to get the front wheel off the ground.

Hey Itcha,

Humm maybe this helps, Front suspension adjustment is on pg. 84 in the Owners Handbook. Get a ruler and a wrench, if you can't see the small lines on the upper fork cap, than measure it.

You'll need a spacer, without one the headlight bounces around. I have cardboard and silver duct tape and cobra clamp around the left fork for a spacer. At the time I didn't have anything for a spacer and switched it anyway.

Try this mod first before you do the "flip and swap". I did the "flip and swap" before purchasing pro taper bars and clamp. Well I am back to the clip ons above the tree and not considering any more ideas on this subject. Just personal preferance of looks and comfort. Be your own judge, comfort is different for everyone.
