I recieved a set of Hagon Nitro shocks on Friday -will be trying to install these this week some time. Shocks are made in England - bodies machined from stainless billet and the springs are wound from stainless wire. Alloy parts are anodised black, and they came with adjustment tools, also 2 year unlimited mile warranty. They have 10 clicks for adjusting both rebound and compression damping. I spoke with the people at dave quinn for about 30 minutes and we came up with two possible spring rates to try. We went with the stiffer to start out, but he will gladly exchange springs if these prove to be to stiff. They have a wide range of springs available from Hagon. Very nice people to deal with - and the shock quality and appearance are outstanding IMHO. Cost was 489.00 plus 9.00 shipping. Road test to come soon, I hope.

They are available in many lengths including 350mm, 360mm (which is closest to the thruxtons 362mm, and 370mm. Each 10mm is about .4 inches in length. I ordered 350mm since I have lowered my forks in the triple trees about 25mm. Max at Traxxion says the thruxton has a good downward angle on the rear swingarm and this helps the bike corner better than a swingarm that is nearly level - which he claims makes the bike swing wide when exiting corners. So with this info I have decided not to lower the back end like I originally planned and just dropped it 12mm rather than 22mm.

Hey JCW and Fred!!
How goes the continued quest for performance of our beloved Thruxters???!!!
I FINALLY found this set of forks on Ebay and hit "buy it now". The hard part was explaining to my wife what I did.
Anyway, I want to make sure I bought the right forks!!
They were listed like this and the guy assured me they were straight and in good shape (hopefully he is somewhat honest)
item #4514354721 - FORK ONLY USED FOR A HONDA CBRXX 97-98 PART#2575

They definately look like the right forks to me. I am not fluent with Honda part numbers (is that what the part number 2575 is?)
Can anyone tell me if these are the right forks? I hope I did not screw up and jump on them before I knew for sure.
Any advice is always valued!!
Take care guys,
Trav

Hey Travis-

I don't have info on Honda Part #s, but the 4 digit number 2575 sounds too short to be a part number. Are the forks 41mm-that will be key in getting them to work in your triple clamps (and with the Triumph legs, etc.) Not enough info for me to figure out what they are, sorry I can't be more help. :???: JCW
