How can I tell if my Thruxton has a non stock silencer?

I bought this bike from somebody who bought it from somebody else who did a few mods.

He said that the AI was removed and that it had different silencers but couldn't say what kind.

I like to know what is on my bike so how do I identify it?

Not the best picture but here's a rear end shot of my bike:

TORs?

Those look like TORs to me (Triumph Off Road) silencers based on the size outlet. There should be a stamp on the underside of the silencer that will tell you if it is - probably there is a disclaimer "for off road use only".

I'm not positive but If those are different from stock cans they are probably TOR's. There will be someone here that will be able to tell you for sure.

Are the tor's more restrictive than the predators?

That's what I thought.

It will be hard for me to justify buying another set of after market pipes right now though.

Oh well, I just wanted to know what was on there.

nah, leave em...

the TORs are a nice volume... I have epcos, which aren't the loudest out there, and sometimes wish they weren't quite so loud. they are probably the most restrictive exhaust out there next to stock, but not bad.
But do me a favor and ditch that reflector under your license plate, ok?

I have plans to eliminate the rear fender so that will definately be gone.

I have a JL pipe on my Vespa and its sooo ****ing loud that I get annoyed by it sometimes.

oops reread my post in your quote. meant to say TORs are most restrictive next to stock. epcos are a "straight through" design, hence the volume.

The Vespa is certainly a rarity around here esp. a loud vespa...Wouldn't mind a scoot in the garage, but all the new ones are automatic and i can't deal with auto anything.
