Who is running them?

Any opinions?

My Thruxton clutch has been slipping at high RPM's & I would like that to come to a halt.

I know these will help....my main concern is lever feel.

Has anyone used anything else? A combo of stock & stronger springs to keep it from being a bear to pull?

Did you do the Barnett plates (Or other brand) at the same time?

Bike is down for now needing brake pads at 5000 miles even (& possibly a rear rotor as it has a little runout from heating up due to a ***** set of original set of Nissen pads ).

So I figure I might due this upgrade as well........

EDIT:...Any details on the alignment tool would be appreciated as well,as I could possibly manufacture one.)

you don't need the alignment tool, it was only for the first couple year models of the bonnie.

I have the barnet springs that Newbonneville carries, and really I can't tell much of a difference from stock. I bought the springs alone and put them on. I don't think it's slipping w/ my big bore etc, but I also have a set of the green springs, and I'm switching to them at my next oil change. They are the next stiffest, the red springs being the strongest ones I'm aware of.

The green should firm up the lever pull a bit, but the ones I have in now should hold fine for your motor and don't affect the lever feel much at all.

I run the Barnett plates and red springs. The lever pull is minor, but the engagement rate with the Barnett plates is much more abrupt and the feel is not good for street riding. Stock plates with upgraded springs are more than adequate for all but the most extremely modified Bonnies. :-D

Tham, Sweat, actually, I don't think you will be able to tell the difference in lever pull between the green springs and what you have now. They are strong but the pull is not that noticeable.

F*&% yeah,
Thanks for all the input!

All questions are addressed & I think I will upgrade the springs only as I like a smooth clutch.

(I figured the Exhaust ,Airbox & jetting mods has a minimal effect on the stock plates/springs........My experience with the older Triumph has always shown that the stock springs were weak to begin with.)

Awesome...........now to get the brakes back up to snuff. :-D
