I still find it strange that my 790 bonnie seems to have more "pull" through the gears than my Thrux. Both have the standard mods, pipes, AI gone, Airbox gone etc. Anyone else find this to be true? I know a stock bonnie has a 17t sprocket and my Thrux has an 18t stock sprocket. Can't think of anything else it could be.

The cams of the 790s are a bit peppier. That plus the gearing could account for it. Maybe the Thrux isn't tuned quite right?

I do have 150 jets which I feel are too big....bogs down when I down shift and rev the bike up a little. Plus the pilot passage ways seem to be sealed shut???? Not sure why.

My Bonnie pulls better on the low end of the RPM scale, but my Thrux is a whole nother beast up top. They feel like two different bikes ... I still have stock sprockets with the same performance mods on both.

The upright seating position of thye Bonnie accounts for a lot of that sensation. Ride a V-max, then a faster sportbike and you'll see what I mean. The V-max will feel a lot faster! :-D

If you were replying to me - my Bonnie doesnt have an upright seating position (lower bars, rearsets, race seat). BTW - ever think your VMax theory of feeling faster next to a faster sportbike is because it's a naked bike and you're comparing apples to oranges?

I would imagine the different sensation we're feeling between the Bonnie 790cc and the Thrux 865cc has something to do with sprocket teeth and cam profiles.
