I certainly HOPE it doesn't wobble.

.....mancha...i would surely agree. The price is waaay up there...but for me it was all about comfort. I think I tried on most of the 'major' name helmets and styles and found that the shoei's and HJC's were for folks with bigger noggins. The just weren't comfortable on my head. However, all of the Arai's seemed to fit better and the profile...the best. Gotta go with what's comfortable....I guess.

Funny how this comfort issue is... I used to ride with a $50 helmet. Got a $200 HJC and though, "how did I ever ride with less? this is sooo comfortable". Then got a $350 Shoei and thought "how did I ever put up with that HJC?" I'm afraid I will like a $500+ arai, so I'm not going there...

Cool helmet thruxtonerich.
Like 05Truxter, started with cheap helmets years ago, then an HJC, then my current shoei, but now saving my pennies for an aria vector Read replica (vector fits my noggin the best.)

I "splurged" on a $200 Shark, but was ultimately disappointed in it. I like my $120 helmets better. No doubt, however, I like the two pictured so far in the thread. It's just that I'd prefer to spend my money on other things for the bike.

I actually got the shoei I like so much as a gift - prior to owning it I wouldn't think of spending that much on a helmet, given a cheaper one could meet the same safety standards. But, man, does a light, quiet helmet cut down on fatigue on a longer ride. It's one of those things that you don't realize until you experience it for yourself.
