Any feedback on the New Bonnie "fender Eliminator kit" ?

Working on making my Black Bonnie into a Cafe Racer, getting rid of the rear fender is one of the final stages before i"m really happy...!

On to something diffrent, I had the distict pleasure to ride with Mark from ACE CAFE of LONDON and a whole bunch of cool cats on the Mods-n-Rockers ride on Cali. Highway 1 from LA to Half Moon Bay and the "LOTM" in May.... What a great ride!

If anyone from that ride are on this forum i would like to hear from you.....

I got one from Brent and love it - the install directions could be clearer - if you get one with the turn signal replacements install those before the abs plate - much easier. Also ground the tail light directly to it's bracket.

Make your own. Iis not difficult, and so much more satisfying than buying one. You can choose what lights to fit.

Here's my home-made effort.

i saved a couple of bucks and made my own license plate / tail light piece. i did however purchase newbonneville's abs plastic plate that hides the underside of the cowl for about $30 i think.

is everything pretty much plug and play with the mod? Simple splicing into factory harnesses? I saw the wiki's. very helpful, but no simple bolt-in affairs???

for the DIY ppl, did y'all fab brackets for the lic plate and the front/rear signals?

so, to break it down we're gonna need:
bracket for brake light/ license plate frame
bracket for front/rear signals
cover/plate for underside of seat to protect wiring

Anything else?

You have the list right. Then splice into existing harness as needed.

I used the stock rear fender trimmed to my taste.

Fabbed a bracket out of 1/8"aluminum and it attaches by using longer bolts on the rear fender mount and bolting it to the 2 extensions sticking below the rear fender created by using longer mounting bolts. Used a billet led brake light with built in license lighting. Rear signals were mounted next to rear shocks.

finished deal
