Can any one with a thruxton manual forward me an electrical wiring diagram for the turn signals?
Or possibly explain how the turn signal relay works?
*********Please keep in mind that I dropped my bike last year (ouch) and had to replace my turn signal module. I also removed the old OEM blinkers to replace with Kellerman's (after looking at thruxton-up's pics) but haven't had the time to wire them up until recently (state inspection)***********
So far I think the turn signal (+) wires are green w/red stripe or green w/white stripe but I get no (+) feed what so ever with the turn signal turned on.
So I traced (orange w/green stripe wire) from fuse box to the relay and noticed (+) feed. But nothing comes out of the wire that goes from the relay to the turn signal module (teal w/brown stripe wire) even when I press the turn signal.
So I opened the turn signal module and noticed green, orange (this one is the teal w/org stripe from relay), and gray wires in respective setting so that when I flip the switch on it'll either be contacting green and orange or orange and gray. From here the green and gray wires become green w/red stripe and green w/white stripe for the turn signals.. (I saying 'I think' b/c I didn't unwrap all the black electrical tapes that goes across the bike to make sure of it). By now I'm thinking I have a bad turn signal relay.
So I went out to the local dealer and picked up a turn signal relay (that can't be returned for $65) but it still doesn't work =(
I'm thinking that the teal w/brown wire that comes out of the relay to go to the turn signal module should be always (+) and turn off intermittenly upon contact with (-).. Hence the turn signal 'blinks'. Now these are just my thoughts (I'm no mechanic.. but this is what I made myself to believe. So in conclusion I have 2 bad turn signal relay.
Please enlighten me!! anybody? Many thanks
