Coming into the last turn of a canyon today. Taking it really easy as it was the last turn. As I started to brake the front end started hopping(mild tank slap), and i recovered just in time to meet the sandy roadside and the gaurd rail.

I lowsided it and came to a rest in the gaurdrail. Not a scratch on me, but the bike is nice and road rashed up. I was able to ride it home 20 miles without a peg on the shifter. There is a slight bobble in the front end so I'm dropping it off at the dealership tomorrow and hoping the insurance company plays nice.

My shoulder feels like hell, but I don't think anything is broken. I'm going to have a few beers and ice it down.

Sorry to hear you took a spill.

At least you're not seriously hurt. Wearing the right gear makes a difference.

The bike can be repaired and hopefully insurance won't be difficult.

That is depressing news - glad you were able to nurse it home. Good luck with getting the bike up and running.

It sounds like you got those riding pants just in time. The next day would have been too late. Glad you're ok.

thanks guys. The guy at the dealership said it didn't look too bad at all(letting insurance take care of it).

Who knows, i might get to repaint it. I just want to ride ride now though. Considering selling my car just so i can have another bike to ride.

BTW- Foothills BMW - Triumph is a hell of a dealership. I'm very happy i bought the bike there. It seems most of the service staff races a BMW or Triumph or both, and they stock tons of aftermarket parts.
