Ok - my regular riding buddy is putting together a 998 cc Bonneville - 904 Nik-a-sil barrels, 11-1 forged pistons, 813 grind cams from south bay, stroker crank, carrillo rods, ported, bigger intake vales, 39 mm FCR carbs, and billet intakes, and a Really LOUD and large diameter set of TT pipes.

This is being built in the style of a 1967 T120TT special (see pic below) - Candy purple paint over gold base, with white lower trim and gold coach line seperating the gold and white, black side covers with gold Bonneville script, alloy fenders front and rear with the fender stay around back, a 67 lucas tail light with the "boob" in the center, and modified seat fitted with a 67 seat cover with the gold logo on back, a set of thrux gauges, bonnie black motor with polished engine covers, polished fork legs with the old ceriani style dust caps, excel polished rims 2.5 x 18 front and 4.25 x 17 rear, 160 out back and a 110 up front.

The pic below is to give you an idea of what the bike looks like - the paint colors and fenders are spot on. Bike is estimated at 100 RWHP but won't be dynoed for a few weeks. Has custom fabricated mirrors, fat vintage grips, flattrack bars, knee pads, ikon fork springs and rear shocks.

We are heading to the Great Smokey Mountain Rat Raid tonight - if he gets the brakes bled on the thing. We started the motor last night and within minutes received complaint calls from the neighbors about the noise level. How loud - sounded like a 2 cylinder top fuel dragster. He is having some special built Predators being fabbed and tested by South Bay. I can't wait to ride it this weekend. I'll post some pics when its done. It's a very sweet ride.

sweetness. Can't wait to see an actual pic of this beast.

(I'll be reassembling mine tonight and this weekend, my head is due back Monday, so I should be up and running in about a week)

Well, I saw the bike last night right before he cranked it, they were topping it off with oil but I had to leave. Bike looks great. Love the color! Don't think John mention it but the rear signals are built into the tail light, behind the lens on each side! Cool! Great looking bike!
BTW- Thanks again for the seat John! Looks great on my bike!

Jeff - you got lucky you were quicker on the draw for that seat. I've been moving all week and didn't get back online til you had already laid claim to it.

Saw Scott at The Ride Shop - he was picking up the back wheel for the frankenride. I can't wait to see it. Gonna miss the Raid - but gonna ride in the Police Memorial Fallen Officer ride tomorrow.

Jeff glad you like the seat.

Keith - you really need to talk Shane in to riding his Thruxton. See you two Wed.

Jeff - Good luck with the assembly. Will you have the wheels and forks/brakes from the SV650 on it?

John

that's still up in the air. I'm talking to the guy that is going to cut my new rear brake rotor now, I don't know what his turn around time is, but I'm going to get all the measurements this weekend. I may break it down to measure, order my parts, then reassemble stock to ride, then swap later, I'm not sure. I won't really know until I measure everything which will be today or tomorrow.
