I am now pretty much happy with my Thruxton, fixed the suspension front and rear, ditched the airbox, (and indicators, and mirrors...) upped the jets, cut off the rear 'guard, fitted the 6-pot..... the only remaining thing is that $hit fuel cap :evil:

I REALLY like the look of the ENOT Monza Cap as sold by BC in the US or Jenks here in the UK. The one small doubt I have is;

Does it sit too high on the tank? :???:

Whichever route I take, this would cost me 200 of your American Dollars so I want to make the right decision (put bluntly a whole day on track with the Duc, or a nice fuel cap)

Has anyone bought this cap, fitted it, and thought "nah... doesn't look right" ?

Your opinions please !!!

Well if anyone has thought that, I'd like to buy it from them.

Looks good, works good. You might want to check the Al cap New Bonneville has. It still screws, on but it is easier to grip.

Seen from ninety degrees and with the tank at eye level, yeah, I agree that it sticks up too high. Looks like a wart. But, seen from an angle like the shot from Thruxtonone.....looks very good.

May I quote you on that sir? :-D

I just got an alloy tank from The Tank Shop and it too has the very same cap bonded-on. Sticks-up the same amount. That's the way it was 'in the day' and nothing has changed. I don't see how a lower-profile cap can be fitted without dishing-in the tank.

Now the fuel cap on my old 71 Commando... that was a cool cap!

Is the tank for a Thruxton or Bonnie? I want one of those - got any pics?

I dig the look of the Monza cap and don't feel it sits too high. I especially like not having to twist it off like the stock cap off.

I have one on my thruxton. I love it. It does look a little odd from the side, but looks spot on when you are ridding and most importantly it works awesome.

Would not go back to the other. Skip the track day. You can ride another day. :-D

I was worried about whether the Monza cap would stick up too high on my T100, but I was also tired of carrying a rubber jar opener in my jacket pocket, so I bought the Monza. Once I had it on, it looked perfect. Not too high, fits right in, and very well made. No more rubber jar opener either.
