I thought I would start a thread about the best low dollar/free mods to be done. Here is my list so far, please add.
- polishing cases, fork, etc.
- lower gagues/headlight
- relocate ignition to frame using existing holes or right side of HL
- relocate horn under tank
- relocate regulator
- remove reflectors, fork guards
- stainless steel / aluminium gague cans
- clip ons on top of yoke (even reversed)
- stock mirrors modded to bar ends
- cut up chain drive cover and guard
- gutted stock airbox
- baffelectomy
- modified rear fender (take your pic)
- shortened stock turn signals
- painting various accessories
- relocating rear t/s to fender/under seat
- paint pen to the seat
anything else???

I think it was Elmers, from WallyWorld. Silver, get the finest tip you can. It does rub off a little bit, but not much. Let it dry for a day or two. If I had the money, I would get the piping done right.

Just removing the reflectors and static cling decals gets high praise from me.

From my side of the parts counter, handlebars are far-and-away the most popular "first round" mod under $100. New mufflers are the most popular mod regardless of price and are typically the first parts swapped.

haha! This is a great thread. Can anyone chime in how one gets the piping work done (if you were to pay up and get the actual piping instead of the pen-job)

I love the look!

So, I think it's safe to say that Boddingtons is the official beverage of Triumph. :chug:
