Life has a funny way of shaking or snappin it's finger at ya - just to get your attention. I was in no way looking to get another bike - heck - I just put my CB750 up for sale, put a contract on a new house, and have other things I need to be spending money on instead of another toy in my garage - especially ANOTHER bike ... but dang it ... I couldn't pass this one up. The price was so good, I pulled the money from savings and spent most of today on the road going to get it. I seriously think I got a deal of a lifetime here that's only going to take a bit of elbow grease to set things straight.

It's a 2004 - has 3900 miles on it. Been sitting outside in the previous owners front yard for .. um .. at least a year or so without being ridden. P/O was having some issues with what seems to be a case of Agoraphobia. I feel sorry for the guy. He hasn't left his house in over 6 months.

The bike is not perfect - matter of fact, it was sooo dirty and rusty that I actually had 2nd thoughts about it ... er .. for about a second .. before I slapped a wad of $100s in the owners hand. It was dropped in the yard that resulted in a broke mirror, foot peg, and some scratches on the casing.

As soon I unload her - I spend the next 2 hours hours outside in 30 deg rainy weather cleaning her. Thinkin she's going be a keeper.

Anyone have a stock right side foot peg or the 4 bolts that hold the front fender on they want to sell?

Before

After

The drilled mufflers suggest that the PO might have been on this very forum -- believe thruxtonone was the first to try that, and he posted instructions for doing the same.

Congratulations on the good deal, looks like it cleaned up nice. :upthumb:

joeswamp - Thanks and I was wondering about the drilled mufflers. Both mufflers were loose and leaking as if they had been off the bike. I was wondering if he may had aftermarket cans on it or something. There are no mods except for the AI removed .. with spark plugs put in it's place.

Jimbonnie - $3300

bonnieblackinfl - Yup. it's a Factory Five. Linky

I got an upset stomamch looking at the rusty version pics. It IS a sin to keep a bike outside in case anyone didn't know. Least it got your a VERY good deal. If I found it I would have done the same. Poor guy, had a Thrux in the yard and still could not find a reason to go outside???? Man, he has it bad.

Cobra, man,,,,,you have a very nice stable indeed.

Fender mount bolts, I would send you four I got but am thinking the postage would cost more than buying 4 SS ones from a local bolt & nut house. If there is not one local to you PM me your addy and I will send you the 4 I took off when I put SS ones on. They are like 8mm x 1.25 x 12mm long as I recall.

Guess the 'new' wore off of it for me about 4 years ago, but thanks. It's built from 87-93 Mustang 5.0 liter non-donor parts. 8.8 rear with 3.55 gears. The thing only weighs 1900 lbs. and the little fuelie can just about make a meal of anything on the road.
