Last night I wet sanded the paint with 1500 grit, used a medium buffing/cleaning compound and followed up with Zymol cleaner polish. I did not sand on the clear coated graphics but worked around them. It's always a little nerve wracking sanding on work someone else did - you just don't know how much clear is on the base color coats. Happy with the results though no burn throughs, or other screw ups. Smooth as glass.

I like that little "Thruxton" graphic on the tank stripe.

Your bike looks amazing! I love the red accents, the color, everything. Well done. What kind of grips are you using?

Great looking bike. How do you like that smuggler seat? I think they're a great idea, I'm just not 100% sold on the looks.

Yeah, I am thinking you will not be allowed to post any more pics......this site is available for anyone to view regardless of age and that my friend is defintely BIKE PORN

Nice cut and buff, you can tell from your reflection you did it right like the rest of the bike. Most excellent.

It's on the T100 right now. Probably keep it for solo riding on the bike. Much more comfort than stock.

Thanks, I really like the seat - would never pay full retail for one. The storage is perfect - I hate the look of tank bags. I'm with you on the looks - some angles are good others are less the pleasing to the eye, but functionality and comfort offset that enough for me.

Hey John, the "new" bike looks terrific.I know what you mean about the look of the Corbins. The tail section on mine looks downright bloated.I plan to remedy that soon. One question about your paint prep on both paint jobs [new and old]. I`ve used chemical strippers on my new tank and had no problem with the clear and paint coats, but the primer or base coat seems to be a powder coat of some sort. Impervious to attack.Did you run across this [or your painter] and how did you deal with it [or not deal with it :-D ] ?? :???:
