One question about your paint prep on both paint jobs [new and old]. I`ve used chemical strippers on my new tank and had no problem with the clear and paint coats, but the primer or base coat seems to be a powder coat of some sort. Impervious to attack.Did you run across this [or your painter] and how did you deal with it [or not deal with it :-D ] ?? :???:
Steve
The other original paint work I took to bare metal or plastic on every piece with an air sander of the orbital variety. The paint on this bodywork was just sanded down to primer.

Greg - have some jetting issues but rather than play around and try and figure it out by the seat of the pants I'm taking it in for Dyno runs tues and to check A/F ratios.

Where did you hide the idiot lights from your dash panel? Looks good with just the pressure gauge. Is the mount the OEM unit, or a one off?

Steve, gears :yayyy:

Idiot lights are eliminated at this point. The gauge mount is stock with a cut-out for the oil gauge.

Any word yet on the trick swingarm? Is it going to be an aluminium copy of the original, or different specs?

Haven't heard a thing on the swingarm. It will be mucher lighter and stiffer - but stock as far as length, shock mounting, bushings, etc.
