THat bike looks like a total chick magnet.....can a hot little number jump on the back (foot pegs?) or is it strickly a solo machine....obviously you would not do 2-up for any distance but maybe just far enough to my man-crib for a little afternoon delight? :???:

as the bumber sticker on the slammed VW said, "no fat chicks" (LOL) but seriously, there is enough of a seat under the cowl you can do fine for even an after noon ride

You got that right.

My wife asked when she can go on a ride - I answered, when you get a bike...

NO

I spent all of last summer tooling around with my wife on the back of my Thruxton. She's a cute little thing at about 5'2" and weighs virtually nothing. Her only complaint was that she felt perched on this teeny little seat and that it felt precarious, at best. Plus, her feet were always a hair's breadth from the pipes and they ate a bit of her boot toes, now and again. Toward the end of summer, I traded my Thruxton seat and cowl for an Bonneville banana seat and she loves it. However, from the pilot's position, it sucks. Because of the passenger pegs, she still sits crouched on top of me, to an extent. For long rides, this is murderous on the wrists and completely kills that effortless nimble feeling that my Thrux normally has.

Moral of the story? If you are just using it to bring her over to your place, you're golden. If you're looking to ride across the state...don't.

Note that the seat swap was purely due to the fact that I've never been fond of the stock Thrux seat. I'd planned to get a new seat for this season, so I figured that if I was going to have a spare seat, it may as well be one that I could use later. Although the Bonneville seat worked for us, she's getting her own bike this year, and that is probably the best solution. Most fun, anyway.
