Just as the title suggests; are the stock tires good for rainy weather? I'm interested in a Thruxton, and plan to be an all year rider. My major concern is the constant rain we have over here.

Anyone know how well the tires are for rainy weather of all degrees?

Thanks.

I haven't had any trouble with mine and we get a fair bit of rain here in Singapore.

But then again, I do slow down a bit and watch for metal grates, slippery paint, etc.

Most tyres are ok in the rain, it's the rider that causes the problems.

Cheers,

Brett

Cape Town is a peninsular stuck out between the Indian and Atlantic oceans. In winter we get serious and often unpredictable rain. I've done one winter on the Metzlers, (probably around 5,000 km) often in rain, and have only praise for their wet weather characteristics. Of course you need to make appropriate adjustments to your riding style.

They are one of the better tires I've used in the rain, but like any tire in the wet, don't put your confidence in them.

I HAD NO PROBLEMS LAST YEAR and I drove through a lot of rain.
