I went to the North Texas Norton Owners Association get-together today on Greenville in Dallas, TX. It was pretty cool. A bunch of scooter types and some pretty cool vespas etc. And a bunch of cool 50s and 60s era brit bikes too. Some people actually dressed the part (1960s). I would not have been surprised to see Mike Myers jump up and say "Smashing Baby!" ala Austin Powers.

Pretty fun. I dont know if they do that every year, but I'd keep and eye out and go next year.

I saw the announcement on the Texas 59 club, I would have gone had my bike been assembled...maybe next year.

I really have got to get a 2nd bike...

Hey KJazz, if you feel like riding down to Austin to see some hot rods and old bikes, check out the Lone Star Roundup

It's here in Austin the last weekend of this month.

Now that looks fun. I've got a big band rehearsal on Sat afternoon 4/31. But Sat night and Sunday in Austin sounds like a blast.

i went on the lincolnshire wolds run last year, there was just about every make of bike you could think of, old, modern and everything in between.

there was a gang of rockers on their goldstars and mods on their scooters, no battles for old times sake though, to old and wise maybe :-D

the oldest bike and riders combined age was 158years, he was on a 1914 douglas.

there are some good stillls and videos of the bikes, hope you like them.
