Is the stock heel plate powdercoated or something. I've sprayed it with the same paint stripper I've used for everything else and it hasen't even phased it? If it is what the best stripping method?

Because of the flat surface and small size I stripped mine with some sandpaper.

I sandpapered also.i don't know why it's different then the engine casings, but the paint stripper had no effect on it.

I went ahead and took a wire wheel to it. I figure they powdercoated it so that rivets on shoes wouldn't scratch it up. now that I have polished it I'd like to make my own costom plate. besides the big 900 and the union jack has anybody seen any other unique ideas
