I need to know what tools are an absolute must have for simple adjustments on the thruxton. I need to either ship out ahead of time or pick up locally some tools for the ride back from Little Rock to Houston. I'm just thinking some simple things like allen wrenches, crescent wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. I need specific sizes so so I only carry what i need. I'm not looking to change tires or do a road side oil change or anything like that.

Thanks!

May sound goofy, but I'd recommend packing some phone numbers of the enroute Triumph dealers. Just in case anything big goes kabloooey. If'n your coming through Dallas, I'd recommend these guys: RPM Cycles at 972.620.3883

D2, I took a different route regarding this problem. Since there is not much way to store anything on a stock Thrux, I have been converting everything I can away from the standard allen heads to tool free bolts. One less tool to carry.

8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 15mm, 17mm, 19mm, 24mm
6mm allen, 23Torx, Flat blade & Phillips blade.

That's the basics.

Instead of cutting the whole airbox out, I left the cylindrical section in place (between the side panels).
I bought a tool roll and am busy fitting it with Thrux size tools. CYNCRZR's post has helped

Haven't yet considered how I'm going to seal it though!! Any ideas?

I was looking at the seat and cowl, looks like there may be enough room between them for a small kit.

There is also a thing under the seat that looks like it was made for a manual or what not that could hold a few more tools.

I bought a small magnetic tank bag for such sundries. Don't forget your digi camera for your documentation thread.
