Looking at this site;

http://jeepgarage.free.fr/prepacarbu.html

they are polishing the interior of their intake, I'm looking to do the same thing and was wondering if you can reuse the old gasket or should it be replaced?

I always make it a habit to replace gaskets...even the o-ring types as used on the Thruxton. According to Bikebandit, you will need 4 new o-rings at $7.60 each (a little over 30 bucks). Thats a pretty good deal considering you probably will not have to mess with them for a long time. The insulators are probably fine for re-use, but they are only $14 each (if needed for your machine).

Sometimes o-rings can expand a bit from heat and then they're a bear to get back into their little machined slots, but that's a lot of change for a lousy little oval o-ring. If there's no sign of damage or deterioration, and you can get them back in the slots (it may help to use something like gasket-cinch or something else tacky), I'd reuse those puppies.
