Not a Triumph and not much to look at (for now), but still has some serious Cafe potential. Runs good though. Ripped the Ton on it's maiden voyage.

edit: forgot to mention - it's a 76' CB750K

Brilliant!

I am thinking that is my next obsession.....old Hondas....or Guzzi's...or BMW's....

Did the old Yamaha thing, the old Triumph thing...doing the old Lambretta/Vespa thing.

Honda's seem like a logical step.

It looks to be in good shape...a very nice platform.

Go here for info & inspiration:

I believe what you have there can officially be called a "snot-thrower." I picked up a used CB750 last winter that had the cafe racer look - but it was in much harder shape than this one appears. Check out www.CB750cafe.com for some inspiration...

tham - thanks, I've visted that site. www.tonup.com is cool too, but there's a few hardcore originals there that have little to no fwd thinking. "if it ain't british, it ain't ..." - well, you get the jist. I have better time to waste than to do so with those likes.

JCW - sold the Kawa. Sold it to a guy who works for Yamaha manufactuering warehouse in the Newnan area. I'm sure he's the hit of the parade about now. I needed to sell that before it ended both my career and life. 165mph felt so natural on that thing that I knew I wouldn't stop reaching for it.

Rustopherh - I've been drooling over Carpy's bikes for a couple years now. I'd say it's the single most reason why I want to cafe one these "five-hundred-pounders."

sweat check out this thread on www.sohc4.us/. It's a CB550, but it still rocks!

Great thread. I've bookmarked that. If a decent CB750 comes my way, I'll definately pick it up. I note that the guy is partial to Benjie's Cafe Racers, as am I:

Very cool. Nice flames. Lots of possibilities, original naked-standard or cafe. I vote cafe. Have fun and keep us posted.
