I visited the Triumph factory last week on a visit to the UK. Fascinating and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't done it. In the QandA session at the end of the tour, I asked how I could tell if my Thruxton (due in March - I live in Calgary) was assembled in Hinckley or Thailand. The guide said it wasn't possible to tell. I asked could I tell from the vin number. He said no. Hmm.
By the way, of all the hundreds of bikes on the assembly line during the tour, I only saw one Thruxton.
