Hi - I'm in the process of installing a set of Hagon Nitros on my Thruxton, and have everything disassembled. Can anyone tell me if the Hagons are supposed to run with a metal sleeve inside the bushings? They only came with rubber bushings that are a perfect fit for the shock mounting posts, but they don't have the metal sleeve inside like the stock shocks. The stock metal sleeves look way too big for openings in the Hagon bushings.

Also, my Haynes manual has yet to arrive (3 weeks waiting now ) - Can anyone tell me the torque values of the upper and lower shock mounting bolts?

Thanks in advance for any help!

No sleeves, bushing on mounting posts is the correct setup. Dab a little grease on the posts to prevent squeaking.

I second Rodburner. Torque 28 Nm. Sorry I'm metricated... A little Locktite won't hurt.

A dab of grease (petroleum product) will cause the rubber/synthetic bushings to fall apart. Petroleum products on and belt, hose, motor mounts, suspension bushings is bad news for the for mentioned.

If it squeaks (and you can hear that while riding) use vegetable oil.

Next issue, the lack of shock eye bushing. Call the company and see it there is a bushing. I have installed a lot of shocks, and do not remember any auto shocks with our the bushing.

Allright, I installed the shocks without the sleeves like Rodburner and Setts said and everything appears to be fine; I also called the shop today where I bought the shocks and they also confirmed the Hagons do not need the metal sleeve and are designed to go on "as is".

Thanks alot for the help guys!
