I think I have read almost all the threads about the suspensions, and yet I still cannot make up my mind!

I'm now approching my deadline to order some new rear shocks. It's February and I want to be able to ride again soon!

I run Works dual-rate in the front and Works Street Tracker in the rear but in Bonneville stock lenght. Good setup but I want to run Thruxton lenght shocks in the rear because I'm also getting NH rearsets and a Thruxon Gel seat (wanted a seat cowl) and I'm 6'3'' tall so I need maximum seat height on my Bonnie.

What should I do?? Thruxton lenght Works Street Tracker? Ikon performance shocks(7614)? Or Hagon Nitro's??????

Can somebody decide for me please!!!!???????????

Maybe it's better when you don't have the choice.

Wow.....86 Views and no replies.

Ok fine, I'll help ya out.

I say go for the Works Street Trackers. It will "match" your Works set up in the front and plus, you know they already work good cause you currently have them in the Bonnie length.

Ok, I hate to be the "has parts, hasn't installed them yet but wants to give an opinion anyway" guy, but just yesterday I received my Hagon front and rear setup from Bella Corse; the components look excellent, and I hope to install them tommorrow and let you know how the bike handles with them once installed. I went with the Hagon progressive front springs and Nitro shocks @ stock length with stiffer springs. So far I'm happy with the choice.

BTW - I went with the Hagons because I agree completely with Legend's philosophy on the subject : Keep it British.

I hope your on the heavy side Rancher, cuz my Nitro`s with lighter [100lb/18Kg] springs rode nicest when I had a passenger.Stock Harley`s 700 to 800lbs only run 100lb springs. :???:

Well good luck on trying to get a hold of anyone at Works. I tried for 2 weeks to get someone on the phone or to reply back to me via email. Still no answer!!
I was able to find a set of Dual Rates from Bill at Bonneville Performance, slightly used but they will hold me over till I can afford AK-20's.

Enough of the ranting about Works. Give Klaus a call at
Wilbers USA. He is highly recommended and respected in both the Sport Bike and BMW communities when it comes to shocks.
He carries 2 brands, Wilbers (Germany) and YSS (Australia) and will set them up accordingly. I am pretty sure that will be able to find a really good shock from him that will fit you, the bike, and your budget.

Well if that is the case, I would strongly recommend replacing the wire harness because its not British either.
