Used to be MotoTwin - but they seem to have disappeared. I think Rask also has some.

Thank Tank Shop which is in Europe I believe sells swept back pipes. There was another one that was in the states but was believed that they stopped carrying them. You'd be spending over $700 just for headers. IMO, I'd rather have a set of Zard or Shark pipes w/ cans.

I don't really dig the Shark or Zard high pipes - I like a more retro look like the bike in the bottom left of this pic:

Amazingly enough the www.mototwin.com webshop is still up, but if you click on the swept back pipes it says "no longer available".

Really too bad because those guys had some really cool stuff. In addition to the swept back pipes they had Norton style peashooters and the best looking single seat IMHO.

I think Mike Selman at Bellacorse was distributing their stuff in the states. Hey Mike -- did anyone take over making this stuff or is it gone for good?

Man, I dig those exposed springs on the forks of the Raask bike. Mikey wants!

OK, so Mike responded but not to my question... :???:

Thanks goodness for this site, I did a search and found this thread

So it looks like you might be able to get the Mototwin stuff later on but it's a little uncertain right now.

The Raask pipes are quite cool as well. I think just about all the Raask pipes are double walled, so they don't blue. I'm guessing they're pretty heavy though.

I like them as well and have been experimenting here in Cape Town as shipping something as big (by volume) as swept back headers to South Africa is prohibitively expensive. I had a set manufactured similar to the Moto-Twin - didn't like the Raask look or the weight and cost of doubled walls. I wanted the muffler to stop in front of the rear spindle so that I could get to the rebound and damping control at the bottom of my Hagon Nitros without burning my hand to make "at the track" suspension adjustments. We ended up manufacturing the system as a single unit with the first "cone" starting in front of the mounting point under the bike to try and get the noise levels down. The second cone, an extension of the first bent upwards toward the spindle. It was tricky. The mild steel prototype was unbelievably loud even with as much damping material stuffed in as we could manage! No way could you ride it on the road even in South Africa which certainly does not have European/US standards (more correctly has them but doesn't enforce them). The project is pending because I'm waiting for Thrux-ton-up to finish his project to see if I'll follow his route or go a less dramatic way. The system is intended for my ultimate Thruxton. Also it's summer here and I'm spending my free time on the road and not in the shop. Regrettably I have no photos as every photo opportunity is taken up by our 3,5 year old triplets. (Yes I know I should be riding a Speed Triple!!)

I think the sweep the pipes have on the ACME classic bike look great. If someone comes out with somethig like those, I will be the first in line.
