I just took off my TORs and put on the original stock pipes that i gutted, just wondering if anyone else has done this, and what jet combo your running. I'm currently running a 125 main and still think I'm way to lean.

Really loud, and very distinct almost straight pipe HD. Loud pipes save lives, but i hope they don't smoke my valves. You would believe how much ***** they pack it the stock silencers, it was like a metal tree of tubes and mesh.

I've just ground off the ends of my stock pipes and will start at the internals over the next week or so.

How much did you "gut"? Any tips before I start?

I'm running 150 mains with my TORs and K&N pod filters, so I don't think I'll need to rejet when I try 'em out.

I had to cut the ends to gains access, there is a plate at the end where the pipe goes into a cone, essentially you need to cut the cone off. Then you can go to town remove all the packing and weld the cone back on. I painted the ends of the silencers with low gloss black to cover up the welds. I'll get some pics and post them later this week.

Since you ground off the tip and removed the little tube with packing, you should be looking at the inner cone.

If you have a welding torch you can just cut away the cone to reveal the first baffle.

Then get this baffle out.I just bashed it in to break the tack welds, then used the torch to cut it into small enough pieces to pull out.I left it at this point, but the remaining baffle is the last one, with a tube that looks like an inverted cactus on the other side. You could probably drill or punch addition holes in this baffle to increase the sound,or remove it.I suggest leaving the packing and mesh inner liner in place. It keeps the pipe from sounding tinny.

Your jetting is plenty fat. :-D

James, I was running 155 mains and 45 pilots, I needed to drop down to a 152 but I chose HSR's instead. An expensive jet upgrade, but my bike is pulling to 9k without falling on it's face or taking forever to get there.

If you removed all of the baffles, which I did, I would go with a 155 and 45.

I don't have a torch, but it shouldn't cost much to get someone to do the cutting.

Thanks for the pics and instructions - can't wait to hear what they sound like.
