Alright those of you who have cut the stock sprocket cover, what did you use for the best cut. I want to trim the bastard down to just the edge around the bolts, and I want the cleanest cut possible. Anybody done this? And if you did what method was employed?

cheers, jason

Hey Jason, I would imagine a saber saw with a very fine blade would be sufficient to achieve what you're looking for. With pretty much anything you'd use, you'd probably have to file/wet sand the edges to give it a nicer rounded/smooth edge.

thanks Shane, any other ideas? I am a little leery about cutting my hand off! And I think a saber saw would do just that. How the hell would I ride one handed?

cheers, jason

Wear a chainmail glove while cutting :???:

Looks like a Michael Jackson glove almost.

As much as I would love to have a chainmail glove, I think the blade would go right through it, seeing as though if it can cut through 1/8 " thick aluminium, it most certainly would go through stainless rings. Good thought though.

Mikey Jackson...........thats funny

cheers, jason
