Have any of you done anything with your head light bracket? I have been thinking about getting it chromed, but I was wondering if there was any other options out there.

I polished mine, a little paint stripper to remove the clear coat and some time on the buffing wheel.

I may be copying one of our own here (pepe) and installing, with a bit fo modifying, the Bonnie brackets on my Thrux. I am not a big fan of the "open" look and prefer to try to hide some of the wiring etc that comes out of the headlight shell.

or.. I may powercoat/paint my stockers... Still not sure.

I made new ones out of Al stock to move them to the inside of the tubes. My ignition switch is on the frame.

Hmmm....that black gauge cluster looks kinda sharp.

How'd you do that BlackBonnie?

Did you powdercoat it or just rattle can it?

I have a custom made adjustable aluminum headlight brackets, with the factory ignition key hardware in stock location.
It was made by Jeff Lewis my metal fabricator in San Clemente CA.
He can do more if anybody likes it!

Wow - Keith, I think thats the first picture of the "Monster" project I have seen on here. I saw some paint I liked the other day for my project - called Cosmic Black Pearl.

Back on topic - I also stripped mine and polished when I did the engine covers, cam cover, brake pedal, shift pedal, fork tubes, and heel plate. I love polished aluminum - and no they are not hard to maintain - but we have no salt or other road chemicals to contend with here.
