After much complaining from my friends about my Rizoma turn signals not being bright enough, I removed the production bulb assembly. Then I soldered a couple wires directly to the back of an amber 1157 bulb (1156 will work also) wrapped a sleeve around it so it would be a tight push fit into the aluminium housing and soldered to the original wires. I added the rubber external sleeve to smooth the transition.(cut off from an old hand grip) Never throw anything away. This should work on any of the small housinf signals. Yes changing the bulbs will be a bit of a pain, but I can not remember when I changed my last one.

Thanks for the pic T-1. Looks a little odd though. Wanna sell me the Rizoma lens you removed?

Thruxtonone I've been considering using those Rizoma signals, but didn't know how bright/visible they would be. Are the bulbs hardwired or do the signals have a standard 1157 or 1156 socket?
How about using an LED light to increase brightness?

These types of LED bulbs are between $10 and $15 each, fit into a standard socket, but may also require a resistor to function correctly. I gotta do something to get rid of the stock plastic lights, but I still want to be seen.
Thanks for sharing your experience with those signals. Your solution is clever, though I'd be worried about the bulb top being exposed to damage without a cover.

Thruxtonone,

If I may ask, where did you get that tail light bracket?

I made the bracket it is riveted to the frame. The larger bulbs including the led's (same base as an 1157) must be hardwired as there is no room for a conventional socket. In the shade or at night the standard bulb is probably OK, but in the sun it is barely visable.-T1
