A dumb question from a cycle newbie...

I managed to burn some shoe sole rubber onto my staintunes. I scrubbed and scrubbed with various things, but it still has a faint yellow-brownish hue. What do you folks use for such a time as this?

I have a pair of boots that melts onto the pipes, and a pair that doesn't.

If some burns on, I'll get on the bike with the pair that doesn't and while the pipes are hot rub it off with my shoe that doesn't melt.

works every time.
