These firms seem to manufacture good quality tanks at a reasonable price.

you could smooth your tank and have it powdercoated "chrome" which really looks like polished aluminum. Pretty cool, or maybe even have the tank chromed. $$$

most chromers are charging 200 to 400 dollars roughly to chrome a tank. 200 for small tanks which i think our tanks fall in that category.

Bespoke means made-to-measure (usually used when have a suit made), or made-to-order.

Ceramic coating has an almost polished aluminum look and wouldn't rust like bare steel.

Blue-Thrux, if you sandblast the tank you'll definately have to do a lot of polishing/wet sanding to make it shiney! From what I've sandblasted and seen, freshly sandblasted steel and aluminum almost looks like someone sprayed a grey primer on it and has minute pits.

if iwanted to polish i would just use some sort of stripper and start from there. i just saw a sandblasted tank on tv the other night and it definetly looked differnt. thought it might be cool look. kinda barebones utilartian...somewhat like this.look at the bike at the top of the page

True, stripper would be a lot quicker than sandblasting if you wanted polished!
