I ordered my pair of megaphones about 2 weeks ago and they showed up a couple days ago. It was about $188 with shipping.

The first thing I noticed was how small and light the box was. The mufflers are a lot lighter than stock and little bit shorter. The fit and finish is not great by any stretch of the imagination, but for the price they are more than adequate.

The stock mufflers came right off and I immediately noticed the huge weight difference. I should have weighed them looking back, but just know the stockers are a lot heavier. Installation was pretty straight foward. It took a few minutes to get the adapter oriented correctly for good clearence from the swingarm, but I don't think I even cursed once. The clamps that came in the kit for the adapters just didn't fit at all, so I used the stock muffler clamps. This worked perfectly and looks a lot better. Once the right side was on the left was a piece of cake. I give it a 1 out of 10 on the difficulty scale. For reference, installing the turbo system, clutch, and flywheel in my car was about a 6.

I fired the bike up and was not surprised at all. They are really loud. Like, standing on the deck of an aircraft carrier loud. They have a nice deep tone and almost bark when you give it a bit of throttle. On hard acceleration with a helmet on the bike sounds very mean. At cruise they are actually very tolerable though.

I will probably pull the baffles and wrap them in fiberglass packing. If I wasn't worried about getting pulled over I'd probably leave them alone though.

Overall, it's a good setup for $160. For someone who is just tired of how quiet the stock pipes are, it's a great deal.

I still plan on buying a set of predators in the spring however. These will hold me over until then though.

now to get some pics of my red led back lit gauges.

I just packed the baffles with fiberglass silencer packing. They are now quieter and sound a bit more refined

These pipes have mellowed out A LOT!

much better sound probably due to a bit of carbon build up.

Hi
Fitted mine last night , no probs, except for leaks coming through the gap of the machined sleeve.
Any suggestions? ....perhaps a little silicone?

cheers!

tighten the clamp more. they really need a lot of torque to get them to seal.

cool, i just checked back here before i called them. I have a feeling the clamp is supposed to be fitted farther toward the rear of the muffler. I guess i'll wait to see what their advice is.
