Hey everyone,

I've been lurking around for about a month as I've been deciding whether or not to pull the trigger on a Thruxton, but I did it last weekend, and boy am I ever glad I did! I can't seem to get this stupid grin off my face.

I ended up with a Caspian Blue '05. Bought it used with 1300 miles and it already had Staintunes on it, fender removal kit, rejetting, AI removed, bar end mirrors, monza gas cap, and maybe some other stuff I haven't noticed yet. Got it for $5900. not bad?

I'm planning on painting the fender to match the tank and cowl, and hopefully start posting pictures.

But mostly just wanted to say "Hi" and that I look forward to contributing!

Still got the airbox?

Congrats on the new ride. It sounds like some mods have already been done, but I'm sure you'll "make it your own".

Youv'e been lurking so you know these boards are a great help.

Welcome and enjoy the ride.

Cool, Im a newbie to the Hinkley world, too. I have had my O5 "new" Thrux (showroom queen) for a month or so now. Fun. I promised myself that I would leave it alone and just ride it, at LEAST until the warranty was over......then it was until the first service at 500 miles.....three hours after getting it home, I was fiddling with it. Sick, just sick.

Sounds like the bike Hermy had up there, and you're in the area. Nice bike, I was looking at it last week. (I have a Blue/silver 04 Thrux). Are you going to Hermy's Open House this weekend? (10/7)

Welcome! You'll love the Thrux. My take is that suspension is next on the list - even before air - box removal. I'm sure you'll do all the mods like the rest of us. I'm coming under pressure from my wife who actually noticed my new Nitros - I thought they looked similar enough to the stockers but I was busted..... Now I have to be careful - I guess this means no 1/2 fairing???
