I just finished up taking off my rear fender. I used the stock brake light upside down and mounted under the seat and i mounted some old harley turn signals that i rewired with some LEDS right behind the shocks. I think it looks way better than the kits you can buy.

The brake light looks pretty good, although I'd like to see a full-side shot if you have one available. How do you have the license plate mounted? Do you have a light on it?

I Actually just bent it over the chain guard and bolted it on there. I'm going to mount an LED pointing from under the seat on to the license plate. I have a friend who mounted a light that way and i'm going to have him help me do it this week.

Looks very good. And very clever use of the stock brake light.
Do you have anything, like a plate, bolted to the frame to protect the underside of the seat?
Lock washers or lock-tite on the bolts holding the license plate?

i have lock tite on the bolts. I'm going to make a plate tomorrow to protect the underneath of the seat. I also have my friend who is a fabricator cutting the stock fender to be much shorter and to allow for the brake light to remain there.

I like that. I had planned to fit an early model taillight, but I may change that plan. Very cool....but I'll have to see if the wheel clears in my lowered version.

If your cutting down the stock fender you won`t need an additional plate, right? Thrux Ton Up has his stocker under his seat. :???:

man that looks really good. I'm going to try to leave a few inch's of fender after my brake light to. I don't know if it will work yet though.
