I've always liked the dual headlight on the Speed triple, both aesthetically and functionally. I've thought of what the my previous bikes and the thruxton might look like with 2 eyes. I know it is mixing periods, styles, etc - could potentially look very dumb - haven't actually seen this done to know whether it would look good or bad. I came across this kit on ebay
http://www.aztec8.com/

What do you think? Not necessarily of this kit with plastic ears, but of the concept.

I love the look of the dual headlights and have also wondered how it would look on a Thrux. It's really hard to say until its done. The best of luck for those who try and would love to see some pics of the final product.

These look really good, but I think they would look awful on the Thrux. Functionally you'd be better served doing a HID conversion.

+1. The Thruxton is a classic motorcycle, not a streetfighter. I wouldn't do it. HID conversion, xenon lamp replacement, or auxilliary lights are better choices, imo. I like my motolights.

While the projector-beam streetfighter lights would look outta place, a pair of larger headlights like Hellas or such would look cool, sorta like a rally setup.

Here's something similar (lifted from the Ton-Up Forum):

I never would have thunk I'd like twin headlights on a cafe bike, but it actually looks pretty cool.

OOOOOOOOOOGLEEEEEE. Unless you fitted them into a fairing, I considered it for my Thrux, using a quarter fairing I got from a BMW R90S. Fill in the large hole, and fit two smaller lights. I once had my headlight pop while briskly motoring along a very dark twisty road on the Big Island on a moonless night. Like having a bag dropped on my head. I like the idea of two filaments going at all times.
I think one of the iterations of the Dunstall Norton Commando had dual headlights. Looked good.

Fly-N-Cycle sells the Bates style headlights in 4.5 and 5.75 inches. They look very close to the S3/S4 headlights. The smaller ones (about $35 each) would look better IMO.
