First real problem with the thrux and the service manual doesn't seem to have the info I need so I figured I would go to the higher sources.
Noticed the neutral idiot light not lit prior to starting, double checked to make sure it in N and still no light.
Would start with clutch out before, cannot do anymore.
Cannot have kickstand down anymore and still have bike running, even if in N.
That tells me the the neutral safety switch has shat the bed but the manual makes no mention of it in any chapter. And no there is no fuse for safety switch. Any info would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance if you can help!

As in Yamaha's of old, just dyke and splice the lead off the switch (this preserves the factory wiring) and lug the jumper back in. Done.

Always the best idea to hold the clutch in when you start it anyhow. Dumbing down is the job of cage drivers ('Daytime running lights', etc).

Found the problem! The switch is located near the oil filter, never noticed it tucked under there. One wire with a simple spade connection that came loose. You would think that triumph would have put a connector with some sort of lock on it being that it takes all the bumps of the road but none of us are perfect. Irritating but a simple fix. :upthumb:
