I would love to get these triple clamps, in gold of course:

eBay auction

I think there's a Monster with 41mm forks. Assuming the fork diamter matched, what else would I need to worry about to make these fit my Thruxton? The two triple clamps would probably need to be the same distance apart, huh? And I imagine the steering pipes would need to match? Anything else?

At that point, you'd be better off buying the whole front end off whichever bike you found.

Less work for you.

I did something similar w/ my '99 Legend... mind-numbingly detailed account here. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hilarious - in a sad kind of way - and glaringly honest! I suppose I could just have my top triple tree anodized in gold instead, huh?

Mancha. The big problem other than what has been mentioned is the length of the steering stem. If it is to short you are in deep do do. If it is to long, you will have make a spacer or have it machined and threaded.
Just my thoughts.

Steve Du Bose, gears and Norton's. :chug: :yayyy:

Those look to be for a Duc, but one with inverted forks. Those look more like 54mm clamps.

"Gold of course." - Priceless!

Maybe we can get Pretech to make a batch?

Will someone measure the distance between the Thruxton's forks, center to center.
